Project "Music for All" - The inclusion of babies in music.

The "Music for All" project, coordinated by Professor of the UFMG Music School, Bethany Parizzi, has the following objectives: a musical inclusion of babies born premature and to continue the musical development process of these babies.

Such a project is beneficial to the entire academic community, therefore, can serve as an object of observation in various academic areas that are developed at the university.

The holding consists of classes taught to babies by Bethany Parizzi coordinator at the Musicalization Children's Center (CMI), or at the Hospital das Clínicas.

From this are classes held with a maximum of three babies, who are part of the research, these classes contribute to the "stimulation of babies by vocal interaction, body and instrumental, which provides auditory and visual-motor experiences the children”.

The findings are great in all spheres, showing excellent results in psycho-motor development of premature babies, accelerating in many cases the growth and creation of concepts associated with certain phases of the baby because they usually take a little longer to be formed in premature babies.

The project is already well known nationally and internationally, to being presented at the Second Interdisciplinary Seminar on the health of the baby, held in Paris in July 2011 and published in the electronic media of the event.

I would UFMG offers not only for babies over for the elderly also ... a small group in my class is a physical home of the elderly near the shopping Del Rey and they are very fond of music! I believe that if I had a project like this, they would love and learn a lot!

  2. Very cool ! With this project, we can see that there is an interaction with people who are hospitalized. interact with premature babies leads is very interesting, because normally see this type of activity being carried out with older people and it is very important to include these babies in research like this.

I still do not know this project, but found it very interesting. I have often heard people talk about studies that show that the baby's contact with the music still in the womb helps pregnancy be more quiet. But not yet know a project that consists of inserting babies into greater contact with the music, like this. Very cool and interesting!

  7. The presentation of this project attract my attention because this generates answers about the development of babies when they are in contact with the music. The better alternative for learn about one thing is train this for a long time, and this project does this. For this motive, this project is very interesting and it can create new musicians.
